Nottingham Events and coronavirus (Covid-19) Update
*Dear What's On subscribers...*
Given that people across the country are being asked to avoid massed gatherings and public places such as pubs and theatres, this will inevitably have a major impact on planned events over the coming weeks.
Please see the latest updates for Nottingham events below.

Nottingham City Council Events
All Nottingham City Council outdoor events scheduled between now and the end of May are being either* cancelled or re-scheduled to a later date.*
This includes popular events such as *Robin Hood Live [ [link removed] ] (4 - 5 April)*, *The Magnificent Spiegeltent [ [link removed] ](29 April 17 May)* and *Autokarna (31 May)*.
Community-led events including *Vaisakhi (19 April)* have also been postponed.
Decisions on *St Georges Day (23 April)* and events to commemorate the 75th anniversary of *VE Day (8 May)* and any events post May will be made in due course.
At present, we are hopeful that events such as Splendour [ [link removed] ] will be able to go ahead. Please watch the website for the latest announcements.

How to get ticket refunds
Credit cards
If you have booked an event through What's On Nottingham or directly, through our ticketing partner - Gigantic you will be *contacted by email* with details concerning your refund.
In most cases, we aim to process refunds in five working days.
Please* avoid calls or emails* during this period as this may slow down response times.
Rescheduled events
Events
It is clearly disappointing for an event to be cancelled, and we are working with venues and promoters to look at the possibility of rescheduling some events.
We will let you know as soon as possible when we are able to announce rescheduled date.

IBSA Judo Grand Prix

The Local Organising Committee in conjunction with IBSA and the University of Nottingham has agreed to cancel this event scheduled for *Saturday 11 to Sunday 12 April*
All ticket holders will receive a full refund. Details on this process can be found at the British Judo website.

Wollaton Hall

All *Mother's Day (22 March)*activities such as Hidden History tours and afternoon teas at Wollaton Hall have been cancelled.
Wollaton Hall,theCamellia House, theFormal Gardensand theNottingham Industrial Museumare closed, including allcafe, shops and toilets.
Wollaton Parkwill remain open, and teams will facilitate access to ensure everyone is able to walk safely throughout the grounds.
All*public events and activities,*between March and May, will be postponed and suspended with immediate effect to help minimise non-essential travel.
*Summer Nights - Outdoor Cinema* from 7-9 May has been postponed.
*Outdoor Theatre* tickets remain on sale for the time being.

Motorpoint Arena

If you purchased tickets for events that are now postponed or due to be rescheduled, you will be contacted with the new event date once its been confirmed. It you purchased tickets for an event that has now cancelled, you will be refunded via your original payment method.
The arena is working with the organisers of upcoming events and are hopeful that the majority of events affected will be able to reschedule to a later date.
If you purchased tickets for events that are now postponed or due to be rescheduled, you will be contacted with the new event date once its been confirmed.

Newstead Abbey

All *Mother's Day (22 March)*activities such as garden tours as well as afternoon teas have been cancelled.
Newstead Abbey Historic House andGardens are closed, including allcafe, shops and toilets.
All*public events and activities*,between March and May, will be postponed and suspended with immediate effect to help minimise non-essential travel.
*Outdoor Theatre* tickets remain on sale for the time being.

Peel Street Cave Tours

The hugely popular and regularly sold out*Peel Street Cave Tours [ [link removed] ]*- Nottingham's largest cave system have been cancelled.
These tours of what is known as the Mammoth Cave are a unique experience, unlike any other cave tour in the city and it is hoped they can be rescheduled in the near future.
The following dates are affected:
*Friday 20 March*
*Tuesday 7 April*
*Friday 17 April*
Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall
TRCH
The Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall Nottingham is closed and all performances are cancelled until *Sunday 12 April.*
Ticket holders for performances during this closure period will be contacted directly by the box office team and offered a full refund. Please do not come in person to collect refunds as the box office is closed.

Greyhound Derby

The *2020 Greyhound Derby* had been scheduled to start preliminary rounds on Friday 10 April, culminating with Finals night on Saturday 16 May.
The decision has been taken to postpone this flagship event until later in the year. At this point, no decision has been taken as to a suitable alternative date as to when the competition could be held.

Customers holding tickets for either cancelled Derby or Nottingham shows will have 7 days in which they may transfer their tickets to scheduled Derby shows between*Friday 25 Sept to Sunday 4 Oct 2020.*
