Dear Health Advocates,
We hope you are getting back into the swing of things as we return to relatively normal work weeks around the country. There are a few things to cover as we start our new week of advocacy. This week, the Senate will be coming back to session. Since the House passed the Lower Costs, More Transparency Act before the holidays, it is our time to put pressure on the Senate to ensure more accountability and affordability for patients and send the bill to President Biden. We encourage you to keep using the tool below as well as our 'Digital Day of Action' on Thursday, January 11 to tell your member of Congress to vote YES on Lower Cost, More Transparency over the next several weeks.
We are also amplifying the Young Adult Week of Action that CMS is holding, aimed at engaging young adults and helping to inform them of their options and deadlines when it comes to open enrollment and marketplace navigation. Also, registration is only open until January 19 for our virtual 2024 Health Action Conference (HAC), where we will talk about these issues and many more.
