The Missouri Conference’s local church intern program provides support and funds for college-age students to serve during the summer at local churches across Missouri. Last summer, First UMC in Sedalia hosted three students.

Implicit Bias Courses Training
The Missouri Conference has partnered with the UMC General Commission on Race and Religion to create a Missouri-specific version of the course “Implicit Bias: What We Don't Think We Think.” Any Missouri Conference member – clergy or lay – is invited to take the training for free to learn about the unconscious bias we all experience. Protocols for Counting Worship Attendance
By counting attendance, pastors and laity may gain a glimpse at the collective growth of their congregations’ relationship with God. Counting people, like counting the offering, should be joyful, a celebration and a thanksgiving for what God is doing in the lives of those who attend.
