Citizens' Climate Lobby

Hi John,

Happy New Year! In 2023, we saw big progress on clean energy permitting reform. Congress passed some provisions in the debt ceiling bill, introduced a number of bills and fostered bipartisan discussions and collaborations.

This year, we need to speed things up ⚡️

Ask your members of Congress to work together on clean energy permitting reform in 2024 🤝

Send a message to Congress
A happy hedgehog held up in the area by someone's arm (the someone is out of frame). The hedgehod has one fist raised to the sky with a caption that says "We can do it!"

Remember, the Inflation Reduction Act relies on these reforms for up to 80% of carbon pollution reductions. Without permitting reform, achieving our goal of a 50% reduction in emissions levels by 2030 is at risk.

CCL volunteers held 379 lobby meetings about this in November. Your message can remind Congress that they're not off the hook.

We need them to work across the aisle this year to turn bills into laws!

Take a minute to tell your members of Congress how they can work for you in 2024 and let's make this year the turning point in the fight for a clean energy future.

With gratitude,

Brett Cease
