We need your help to protect rural broadband.

In the next few months, more than three million people in rural America will lose their internet access because Republicans are more interested in playing politics than protecting rural families, communities, and economies.

Rural households have been receiving subsidized broadband internet in areas where it would otherwise be unaffordable or unreasonable to build since 2020 and then expanded and codified under President Biden. But that is all about to end, unless Republicans step up to do what is right.

Sign our petition and tell Republicans in Congress to forget the politics and renew the Affordable Connectivity Program. [[link removed]]

Mike Johnson and his extremist caucus have made it clear that President Biden's efforts to make the internet accessible in rural areas is a problem for them. Rural broadband has brought opportunities and success to rural communities. Before this program, many rural areas did not have reliable or affordable internet, but because of Biden's efforts, rural communities can access remote jobs, schooling, and telehealth services. But Republicans see that as a big problem.

So, what's their solution? Fund expanded opportunities for rural communities? Build faster, more reliable internet? No. Far-right Republicans want to turn off the internet for millions of people who rely on it for school, work, business, and everyday life.

Republicans are not interested in making rural lives better if it doesn't generate more money for shareholders and power players. That's why One Country Project is here to fight for rural communities and give them a voice in Washington.

If you are just as dedicated to speaking up for rural America, then sign our petition right now and tell the Republicans in Congress: enough is enough, fund the Affordable Connectivity Program and keep rural communities connected to the internet. [[link removed]]
