Dear John,
According to this year’s survey of petroleum-sector executives — conducted by the Fraser Institute — Canada’s onerous and uncertain regulatory environment continues to hurt the investment attractiveness of the country’s oil and gas industry.
The survey ranks 17 North American jurisdictions based on policies affecting oil and gas investment.
For the second year in a row Wyoming ranked 1st, followed by North Dakota (2nd), Saskatchewan (3rd).
Alberta holds 9th while British Columbia and Newfoundland and Labrador are among the least attractive jurisdictions, ranking 14th and 15th.
See the full results here, and please help us spread the word!
Sincerely,
Niels Veldhuis
President
The Fraser Institute
