Friend,

In 2023, we gained major ground on key animal protection legislation, getting priority bills introduced and building up strong, bipartisan support. And now it’s time to drive these bills across the finish line to protect millions of animals who are suffering. Take action today and tell your members of Congress to protect animals! We must ensure that Congress votes on these critical measures before focus turns to this year’s elections. But it won’t be an easy fight. There is always push back from well-funded industries that exploit animals—the trophy hunting lobby, factory farming corporations, puppy mill owners and others who abuse animals for profit.

With you beside us, Humane Society Legislative Fund is fighting these industries head on to secure laws and regulations to end new animal testing for cosmetics … stop the exploitation of dogs in puppy mills … halt the killing of American horses for human consumption ... ensure farm animals are treated humanely and so much more!

We must ensure our elected leaders prioritize animal welfare in this last session of the 118th Congress before time runs out. Lawmakers are facing many competing priorities heading into the final stretch of the current legislative session, so it’s imperative our voices are heard NOW.

Next year, a new Congress will start from scratch, and that means we will have to as well, working to introduce and reintroduce any of our priority bills that don’t pass this session. That’s why it is absolutely critical that we get in front of lawmakers to advocate for our legislation today. Many animals are running out of time. Please speak out for animals and make your voice heard on Capitol Hill right now. ([link removed])

Thank you,
