Supreme Court to Hear Trump Appeal on Colorado Ballot
- The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear Donald Trump's appeal of a judicial decision barring the former president from Colorado's Republican primary ballot, taking up a politically explosive case with major implications for the 2024 presidential election.
- The Supreme Court had no option other than to take this case given importance of the issue and the conflicting opinions from state courts and state election officials.
- The Court must overturn the partisan misinterpretation and misapplication of the 14th Amendment by the Colorado state Supreme Court that has disenfranchised almost 5 million registered voters in the state.
- This has to be done as quickly as possible to minimize the confusion and problems allowing these actions to stand could cause upcoming presidential primaries in multiple states.
- The arrogance shown by local officials in removing a presidential candidate from the ballot is the type of misbehavior seen in third world countries and is an embarrassment and grave threat to our democratic process - it is election interference of the worst kind.

Anthony Fauci Begins Two Days of Interviews with House Panel on COVID-19
- Anthony Fauci, the former longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who was the leading administration voice on the COVID-19 pandemic, is sitting down Monday and Tuesday for interviews with the House select subcommittee on the coronavirus pandemic.
- House lawmakers are on the right path by using their subpoena power to make Dr. Anthony Fauci answer for his role in the COVID pandemic response.
- For too long, the Biden administration has hidden critical information from the public on the origins of this pandemic and how well their response was to it.
- This is just the first step in what needs to be done to answer the American public and build up the trust that these public health institutions have lost.

Pope in Major Policy Address Calls for Universal Ban on Surrogacy, Says it Exploits Mother and Child
- Pope Francis joins many in his calls to prohibit surrogacy, which is nothing more than the commodification of babies.
- Surrogacy almost overwhelmingly is done through paid contracts that use the body of a surrogate mother as a nameless, sexless “gestational carrier.”
- Adding a third person to the bonds of marriage and family threatens to undermine the needs of the child.
- Commercial surrogacy exploits women who carry these babies, and it hurts the children, many of whom will never know the woman who gave birth to them.
- Unlike adoption laws that can turn tragedy into triumph, surrogacy encourage women to unnaturally distance themselves from the children they bear.
- Further, surrogacy relies on financial payments between intended parents and mothers and does not require intended parents to undergo background checks or home visits.
