Hi John,

Across our network, we have heard from folks continuing to grapple with the violence in Israel-Palestine. We wanted to share a few of the resources that have been developed in collaboration with our partners to help you and your communities continue to learn, pray, and take action for a more just and peaceful world.

WEBINAR: Injustice in the Holy Land:
Israel-Palestine and Catholic Social Teaching

Presented and recorded on December 5, 2024.
Amid the current violence in Israel-Palestine, the webinar explores the deeper context and history that shape today's challenges—including the hardships faced by Palestinian Christians—and discusses how Catholic social teaching can inspire our efforts to advocate alongside Jews, Muslims, and others for a just peace for all people in the Holy Land.

Presenter Bio: Jordan Denari Duffner, Ph.D., is an author, educator, and scholar of Muslim-Christian relations and Interreligious dialogue. Her books are Finding Jesus among Muslims and Islamophobia: What Christians Should Know (and Do) about Anti-Muslim Discrimination. She is an alumna of Brebeuf Jesuit and Georgetown University.

EDUCATION FOR JUSTICE RESOURCE: Injustice in the Holy Land: Israel-Palestine and Catholic Social Teaching

Developed by Jordan Denari Duffner, Ph.D. and Julie Schumacher Cohen, the discussion guide examines the Israel-Palestine conflict from historical and current perspectives and provides reflection questions, ideas for action, additional resources, and a prayer. VIDEO: Mourning 8,000 Child Victims of War
Shared on December 31, 2023.
A group of ecumenical partners in Bethlehem coordinated a prayer service on the Feast of the Holy Innocents at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem to honor the 8,000 children lost in the Holy Land since October 7, 2023. Nearly 7,800 of the children were members of families living in Gaza. Learn more and view additional photos of the service at igsol.net/23-innocents
