Hey team—
We wanted to bump Carolyn’s email. In response to COVID-19, Georgia will allow senior citizens over the age of 65 to cast their ballots by mail in our upcoming primary elections. It’s a great start, but it doesn’t go far enough.
All voters, regardless of age, should be able to vote by mail in our upcoming elections. This virus is a threat to everyone, not just older voters.

Friends,
The good news is that Georgia’s most vulnerable — seniors 65 and older — will be able to cast their primary ballots by mail in time for our May 19 primary.
The bad news is that this does not go far enough. Seniors get sick. Young people get sick. All of us can carry COVID-19 (coronavirus) without knowing or experiencing symptoms, allowing the virus to jump from person to person.
That’s why I am calling on Georgia to institute voting by mail for everyone in the upcoming primary elections. Our health isn’t the only thing at stake right now — the integrity of our democratic system is on the line as well.
Add your name today and let our leaders know that we all deserve nothing short of full access to the ballot box → [[link removed]]

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger made the right call by postponing the Democratic presidential primary to May 19 to coincide with our state primaries. But that call is still short-sighted. COVID-19 is a threat to all of us — governments must prioritize our health while also protecting our right to vote.
We can’t allow this to compromise our democracy. Join me in calling for voting by mail for everyone! [[link removed]]
Thank you.
Carolyn
