Evan here, Matt Cartwright’s Finance Director. I wanted to give you an update on our campaign in light of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak.

After listening to the public health experts, we’ve had to make a lot of changes in how we’re doing things. We’ve postponed opening our first field office. We’ve suspended all canvassing and door-knocking. Our in-person campaign events and meet-and-greets are canceled. Our campaign staff is working remotely.

As you might imagine, these big changes weren’t in the budget and Republicans aren’t giving us much breathing room with continued attacks. They’ve proven they are willing to do whatever it takes to flip this toss-up seat from blue to red -- one Republican opponent even attacked Matt for his tireless work addressing the COVID-19 crisis in Congress.

All of this means that we need to keep up the pace ahead of our crucial Q1 Federal Election Commission (FEC) deadline at the end of the month, and because we’ve had to cancel all of our in-person fundraising events, we’re relying on our online donors more than ever.

Would you pitch in $10 or $15 so that we can close our budget gap from moving our campaign online and still meet our ambitions End-of-Quarter FEC Filing Deadline goal of $10,000? [[link removed]]
