Seeking public comment on the development of the Puget Sound Salmon Recovery Plan Addendum
Dear Puget Sound community,
The Puget Sound Partnership is seeking public input on the development of the Puget Sound Salmon Recovery Plan (Recovery Plan) Addendum [ [link removed] ], an update to the regional chapter of the Recovery Plan. The goal of this Addendum is to guide the Puget Sound regional salmon recovery organization’s salmon recovery actions over the next ten years. The Addendum includes strategies and actions to move salmon recovery forward, an overview of the region’s role in advancing environmental justice, funding strategies for implementing the Addendum, descriptions of key recovery partners and their role as implementers, and a monitoring and adaptive management framework. The Partnership seeks to develop a succinct, impactful document, with clear regional action that will enhance and accelerate the watersheds’ work on the ground.
To achieve this outcome requires input and guidance from the Puget Sound community. The public comment period is open from Jan. 8 until Feb. 21. The Puget Sound community has an opportunity to provide feedback on the Puget Sound Salmon Recovery Plan Addendum through an online platform [ [link removed] ] and by submitting letters. Letters can be sent via email to Ashley Bagley, salmon policy advisor at the Puget Sound Partnership (
[email protected]). To learn more, please visit the Partnership's Salmon Recovery Overview page [ [link removed] ].
