Important Update

Changes to our Library service during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.

Following government recommendation to reduce?social contact in relation to Coronavirus, Nottingham City Council Libraries have temporarily put the following in place to ensure the health and safety of both our customers and staff:

  • All?Nottingham City Libraries?will be closed from Friday, they will be open today to allow for a transition period for essential services and for you to borrow books.
  • Any?books, CDs?and other items?currently on loan will be extended to the end of April.
  • Any?fines?will be suspended, so customers will not need to attend libraries to pay fines during this interim period.
  • Our?computers?will be available for customers to use on Thursday, but customers will be limited to 1 hour of use for essential needs. Customers will be asked to request cleaning facilities from staff and clean after each use.
  • Our?Home Library Service?and?Asian Home Library Service?have been suspended owing to the nature of the service.
  • All?events and activities?in March and April will be postponed and suspended with immediate effect to help minimise non-essential travel.
  • Our?e-services including E-books, E-audio books and E-newspapers will be available for customers to access online. More information can be found via our?e-services?page.

We continue to pay close attention to all government recommendations with updates on Council Services made on the?Nottingham City Council webpage.
