Through tests and experiments, we've found that when people have access to trustworthy local news about issues that impact them, they are more likely to participate in our democracy.
And that change can have a real impact that defies conventional wisdom and partisan politics.
Just look at the fight for abortion access in a post-Roe world. Even in deeply red states, voters are turning out to support reproductive freedom, especially when provided with trustworthy information and the opportunity to make their voices heard.
