John — it’s no secret we’re facing some of the most pressing crises that will end up defining our generation and the next. Climate, healthcare, income inequality, white supremacy, the list goes on and on.

And while people in power continue to stall, failing to take proper action, young people are taking the wheel. They are sacrificing their childhood and adolescence in order to do the work that will ensure our planet is livable, our society is equal and fair, and the next generation can thrive in peace.

We’re seeing it with groups like the Sunrise Movement, people like Rep. Ocasio-Cortez and Greta Thurnberg, and the students from Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. The youth are using their passion and energy to change our government and society from the ground up.

Our campaign has that same energy. Young people across this district are ready to have a representative that will fight, not give in to special interests that have plagued DC for so long.
