So many of you told me that the climate is your top priority, and I completely agree: I t’s long past time to act against this existential threat to our nation. I was incredibly proud to cast my vote in support of historic investments in clean energy in order to set our country on course to meet its climate goals. And closer to home, I secured the passage of key provisions of my bipartisan Stop Sewage Overflow Act to ensure that the federal government does its part to support the cleanup and prevention of combined sewage overflows that pollute the Merrimack and Nashua Rivers.

Many of you also listed gender equality as your #1 priority as well. With the attacks we’re seeing on women’s fundamental rights across the country, gender equality is in more danger than it has been for decades.

That’s why I’m fighting to pass critical legislation like the Informed Consumers at the Intersection of Health and Technology (INFO) for Reproductive Care Act which would ensure that women and their reproductive care providers know whether their state is trying to punish them for receiving life saving abortion care. I was also an original co-sponsor of the Women’s Health Protection Act, a critical piece of legislation that would restore women's access to reproductive healthcare nationwide, including abortion services. I have also supported legislation that would close the gender pay gap and ensure that women have the same opportunities to succeed in the workplace as their male counterparts.
