🧤 Winter Clothing Drive: Distribution Event! ❄️

Clothing drive distribution event promotional image

Atlanta DSA is running our annual Winter Clothing Drive! While the City of Atlanta spends tens of millions of dollars building a fake Cop City training ground, the real citizens of Atlanta remain housing and food insecure. We've collected warm clothing through our clothing drive -- now we need to help distribute it to keep Atlantans safer and warmer this winter.

Come to Woodruff Park on Saturday, January 13th at 12:00 PP to help us give back and protect our homeless neighbors until our city government guarantees housing for all.

You can still donate to the Winter Clothing Drive! The Winter Drive runs though January 30, 2024, and comrades will be collecting blankets, masks, medical supplies, hand warmers and more to be distributed to folks in need around metro Atlanta.

If you have lightly used or new winter clothes or supplies to donate, please drop them off at the locations below (more locations TBD), or bring them to the next DSA event you attend. Look for the ATLDSA box!

Learn more about the winter drive here, or donate to fund supplies at atldsa.org/winterfunds.

Want to volunteer? Sign up here to be a Winter Drive Captain and take responsibility for a donation drop box location in the Metro Atlanta area.

✊Union Reform 101✊

Union Reform 101 promo image

All over the country, labor organizers are organizing on the shop floor to build strong, militant, and democratic unions. From Teamsters for a Democratic Union (TDU) to Unite all Workers for Democracy (UAWD), the impact of union reform movements is loud and clear. Labor union reform caucuses have helped elect union leadership that's willing to put up a fight - helping Teamsters secure a historic union contract, and leading UAW to launch an unprecedented strike led by the rank-and-file.

Join Atlanta DSA's labor committee for an info session and workshop on union reform caucuses. We'll cover topics like: What is the goal of union reform? What are some examples of successful union reform movements? How can you get involved in your local union reform efforts?

This workshop is open to anyone, although union members are strongly encouraged to attend.
