Youngkin Approval Rating at Record High

WTAS: With nearly 60% of Virginians approving of the job Glenn Youngkin is doing as governor, Youngkin’s popularity is at a record high.

Here’s what they are saying about the latest Mason-Dixon poll released last week:

Glenn Youngkin’s popularity at record high, approval throughout Virginia

“Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s popularity continues to soar... Youngkin’s approval rating has hit a record high of 58% in the latest Mason-Dixon survey... His approvals top disapprovals in every corner of Virginia, including the Washington suburbs, which are among the most liberal portions of the Commonwealth. In Northern Virginia, 48% approve of the conservative governor, while 46% don’t. The survey results could help Youngkin in his push for tax cuts when the general assembly returns to Richmond next week for its 60-day session. According to Mason-Dixon, he has the support of 58% of independents, though just 28% of Democrats. Still, he has unusually high approval of key minority groups, including blacks at 36%. Women also approve of him, 51%-41%.”

Youngkin's approval rating still high

“Gov. Glenn Youngkin had a higher job approval rating in December... than he did in January 2023, according to a new survey. Youngkin had a job approval rating of 58%... In its January 2023 survey, Youngkin’s job approval rating was 56%... In the survey, among self-described independents, 56% said they approved of Youngkin’s job performance.”

Youngkin holds high approval rating

“Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin’s approval rating remains high, according to a new survey... Youngkin received a 2 percent higher approval rating in the last month of 2023 than he did in the first month of the year, according to Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy.”
