Dear Friends and Supporters of Hudson Institute: We hope that you and your families are staying safe in this difficult struggle against the global Coronavirus pandemic. We wanted to let you know about the actions that Hudson Institute has taken to provide timely policy analysis and to protect the health and safety of our staff and audiences. Virtual Operating Status: As of March 13, 2020, Hudson’s D.C. headquarters moved to virtual operating status. Hudson Institute remains fully operational but our experts and staff are working remotely. We have shifted our regular public programming in Washington, D.C. to video conferences and teleconferences. We will also conduct our Chairman’s Advisory Board and President’s Circle events virtually over the coming weeks. Coronavirus Work: Hudson experts are focusing much of their research and outreach on the profound geostrategic implications resulting from COVID-19. Hudson experts have deep ties across the world—from the Indo-Pacific to Oceania, from the Middle East and North Africa to Europe, and of course here in the United States. We are bringing those ties to bear to provide you sound policy and strategic guidance on the complexities ahead. A catalog of Hudson’s latest work on the Coronavirus can be found here. I would encourage you to sign up for Hudson’s regular briefings, if you are not signed up already. Health and Safety: The health and safety of our colleagues; Hudson’s supporters; and our friends and allies here in Washington, around the country, and across the world are of utmost importance. Until further notice, we will continue to advise our employees to work from home to protect their health and safety, and to help stop the spread of COVID-19. We remain committed to producing the best possible research and analysis on this rapidly evolving crisis—as well as on the many other policy challenges that our nation faces. Thank you for your support. May you, your families, and your colleagues stay safe. Sincerely, John P. Walters
