Yet, these platforms have become breeding grounds for hate speech and disinformation, letting their algorithms boost harmful content.

TikTok is now linked to a rise in eating disorders, while children face abuse on Meta’s VR Horizon Worlds, and Twitter/X witnesses rampant racism, antisemitism, and LGBTQ+ attacks.

But our work is making a difference.

At CCDH, our mission is to protect human rights and civil liberties online. This year, we’ll continue to hold social media platforms and their bosses accountable for enabling the spread of online hate and lies.
