When I ran to become Baltimore County Executive, I laid out a bold vision for what building a better Baltimore County looked like. In just a few years, we are delivering on that promise in a big way.

Since taking office in 2018, I've helped create an open and connected government, provided record funds for our schools, established Baltimore County as a sustainable energy leader, and much more.

Bringing the government closer to the people has always been a top priority; together, we've created an enduring culture of transparency and accountability.

But, Herbert, I know we can't stop there. My upbringing in Baltimore County allowed this public school kid from a blue-collar town to be the first in my family to graduate from college, become a public school teacher, earn a Ph.D., and become Baltimore County Executive.
