One Dairy Grant Closing Soon, One Open To Applications

The Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center [ [link removed] ] has one grant that is closing soon and another that is accepting applications. Both grants are open to eligible applicants in the NDBIC's 11-state Northeast region, which includes Maine.

"*On-Farm Milk Storage & Handling Grant - Closing Soon*"

Applications for NDBIC's *On-Farm Milk Storage & Handling Grant [ [link removed] ]* close January 18 at 2:00 pm ET. * *

Open to farmers, the On-Farm Milk Storage & Handling Grant offers funding to purchase specialized equipment like milk storage tanks, milk pipelines, glycol chillers, milk loading systems, reclaim systems for water, cooling equipment, plate coolers/heat exchangers, and more.

Awards will range from $15,000 to $50,000 with a 25% cash or in-kind match requirement. Learn more [ [link removed] ].

"*Dairy Food Safety & Certification Grant - Open Now*"

Applications for NDBIC's *Dairy Food Safety & Certification Grant* [ [link removed] ]are open until February 22.  

Open to open to dairy farmers, processors, and/or producer associations, the Dairy Food Safety & Certification Grant offers funding to support increased production safety standards with the goal of accessing new markets. Activities covered by this grant include accessing technical assistance, audits, food safety plan development, training, testing fees, and certain infrastructure upgrades.
