Every time I step onto a plane heading into a disaster zone, I have a million thoughts rushing through my head: Do we have everything we need to save lives? Are we moving quickly enough?
At the same time, I feel better knowing that our teams and volunteers are already going to work, putting their lives on hold to travel across the globe and save the lives of people who need help now.
They do this selfless work because they care — and I know you care, too. That’s why I’d love for you to send a quick message to our teams on the ground responding to the global coronavirus pandemic and other crises.I know from experience — just a few kind words can mean so much to someone who may be working long hours, far from their family to bring aid and lifesaving care to children and families in desperate need.
