Holdrege big game meeting rescheduled for Jan. 16, 2024

Out of an abundance of caution with the approaching winter storm, we have rescheduled the big game informational meeting in Holdrege from Jan. 8 to Jan. 16.

The rescheduled meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Central time at the Cobblestone Inn & Suites, 814 Burlington St.

The first half hour of the big game meeting will be an open house with time to talk with wildlife biologists, conservation officers and staff. Biologists will make a presentation at 7 p.m. and discuss big game harvest results and season structure. They then will take questions from the audience on topics such as big game management, depredation, permits, antlerless harvest, trophy management and disease.

The big game information meeting scheduled for Jan. 9 in McCook has not been rescheduled. However, due to the unpredictability of the winter storm, please watch our websiteOutdoorNebraska.gov; and social media channels Facebook or X (formerly Twitter); or your local news outlets for potential updates.

If you are not able to attend any of the big game public meetings, you can watch a recording of an online big game informational meeting on our YouTube channel after Jan. 9.
