Patriot,

Candidates make loads of promises.

Rhetoric is heavy. Substance is light.

Politicians are masters of making it seem as if they've made a
specific promise, when they actually haven't. . .

Saying "I support reforming the FBI and protecting privacy" does
not mean they would repeal Section 702 of the Foreign
Intelligence Surveillance Act. . .

Saying "The Federal Reserve is out of control" does not mean they
will cosponsor and vote to pass the Federal Reserve Transparency
Act.

The presidential race will dominate the news throughout this
year, but just as important, there are races for every seat in
the U.S. House of Representatives and a third of the U.S. Senate
as well.

Most of those running will be incumbents, hoping to sweep their
many bad votes under the rug. And this year, more often than in a
normal election cycle, the incumbent is retiring and the race is
"open," between two candidates who have no record on federal
legislation.

That's why every two years, Campaign for Liberty distributes our
Federal Candidate Survey to put challengers and incumbents on the
record concerning issues that impact our lives and liberties, in
nine simple, black-and-white "Yes" or "No" questions.

And now it's time to start our 2024 Federal Candidate Survey
program. In the coming days, the first of our several thousand
surveys will start mailing to candidates across the country.

If an incumbent politician or an up-and-coming challenger refuses
to answer C4L's survey, you have to wonder what they're hiding
from their constituents.

Usually, it's a Big Government rap sheet a mile long that runs
counter to their small government campaign rhetoric.

With challengers, it too often turns out their "bark is worse
than their bite," and their actions will fail to live up to their
campaign stump speech once they're in office.

That's where C4L's candidate survey comes in.

By putting incumbents and challengers on the record with their
constituents prior to elections, you can have a written promise
for where a candidate stands and what they'll do when the
situation arises.

During the legislative season, C4L members can refer to the
promises their politicians made on our survey as a compass, to
see if their elected officials are "walking the walk" or off
trudging through the weeds into The Swamp.

Many politicians get to Washington, D.C. by appearing to stand on
principle, only to be blown over by the political winds when they
find themselves surrounded by the beltway mentality, the
lobbyists and special interests, and with their next election
already on their mind.

The C4L survey gives our members a tool to hold their elected
officials accountable.

In the coming months, C4L will ramp up our survey program all
across the country!

Mailing out and processing these thousands of surveys is costly
and quite time-consuming. Anything you could give toward
financing this important program will help guarantee future
politicians are held accountable.

Each survey requires the candidate's actual signature so if the
candidate is ever questioned about their responses, they can't
blame it on a campaign intern or redirect constituent anger in
another direction.

Please, if you can today, chip in at least $10 or $25 to help
Campaign for Liberty fully finance our 2024 Federal Candidate
Survey Program.

John McCardell
Executive Director

P.S. Campaign for Liberty is prepping to send out the first of
our 2024 Federal Candidate Surveys to inform you about where
candidates stand on important issues like repealing Section 702
of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, blocking a Central
Bank Digital Currency, banning vaccine passports and mandates,
and passing Audit the Fed.

The first of our surveys are dropping in the mail this week, and
in the coming months, C4L will ramp up our survey program all
across the country!
