Dear John,
Happy New Year! I hope all of you had a lovely holiday break and were able to
spend time with family and friends. This week, it was time to get back to work,
and I made a number of visits around the district. Here’s a quick note on how I
have been fighting for our conservative values.
As we near the end of the first week of 2024, I can’t help but look back on
the achievements of 2023. One standout moment was actively contributing to the
shaping of the upcoming Farm Bill, a journey that included insightful tours
across western Minnesota with esteemed colleagues like Ways and Means Chairman
Jason Smith and Agriculture Chairman G.T. Thompson. Additionally, my team and I
introduced impactful legislation, including the Protecting Rural Seniors Access
to Cares Act, Law Enforcement Education Grant Program Act, Investing in Rural
America Act, and the pro-life Health, Opportunity, Protecting Life, and
Education Act. As we head into 2024, I'm motivated by the trajectory of these
key bills and will continue championing the values of Minnesota's 7th District.
This week, I was honored to join my colleagues, House Majority Whip Tom
Emmer, Congressman Brad Finstad, and Congressman Pete Stauber, in endorsing
Donald J. Trump's reelection bid for President of the United States. Together,
we recognize the urgent need for change in the face of the challenges posed by
Joe Biden's policies, which have led to skyrocketing taxes, rampant inflation,
and a pressing border crisis. We believe that President Trump, with his America
First vision, is the right leader to guide our nation back to greatness.
