Today marks three years since the January 6 attack on our Democracy, and Trump’s conspiracies have only spread further. Election deniers are now running for office in every state — and not just as fringe candidates. Many have the full support (and $$$) of the Republican Party.

But we’re fighting back with everything we have — and winning.

In Wisconsin, Sara Rodriguez defeated Republican Roger Roth, who refused to affirm the election 2020 results and condemn the January 6 attacks.

In Arizona, Adrian Fontes defeated Mark Finchem, a member of the Oath Keepers (yes, the far-right militia group who stormed the Capitol on January 6).

In 2024, we’re going up against far-right pastor Allen Mashburn in North Carolina who thinks the election was stolen, abortion should be totally banned, and that LGBTQ people are “filth.”

In Indiana, the GOP frontrunner Micah Beckwith promotes the idea that Satan is infecting humans to turn them towards the “homosexual lifestyle” and yes, of course, that the election was stolen.

These candidates sound unhinged but these are the Republican Party front runners who, if elected, will do everything they can to pass legislation that reflects their vile rhetoric.

And these are just a couple of examples. In 2024, the DLGA will be facing a slew of far-right Republicans vying for control across the country. We need to step up our outreach and ensure Democrats know the dangers of sitting out this election. Will you rush $10 now to help us keep these far-right election deniers out of office?
