The events of January 6th, 2021 marked an historic point of no return – shedding daylight on the darkness and ugliness that usually hides in the shadows.

We were forced to recognize that MAGA extremism cannot coexist with democracy. It forced us to accept unpleasant truths and make unpleasant choices.

I believe we’ve taken those lessons to heart.

My colleagues on the January 6th Committee worked diligently to uncover the full story. Our investigative agencies continue to arrest and charge the perpetrators. Americans have repeatedly rejected election deniers at the ballot box. And, most critically, our justice system is ensuring that Donald Trump and his co-conspirators face real, meaningful consequences.

But our part is not yet done. Let’s continue to shed light on the darkness and elect leaders who will fiercely defend democracy.

This year, let’s reject MAGA extremism once and for all.
