John, three years ago today, a violent group of insurrectionists stormed the U.S. Capitol at the behest of Donald Trump — all in an attempt to overturn the results of our nation’s free and fair election.

The peaceful transfer of power has been an integral part of our nation since its birth, but this violent attack showed that democracy isn’t something we can take for granted — it’s something we have to fight for.

And there’s no state that understands the danger of election denial more than Pennsylvania. After losing fair and square, the far-right quickly enacted a plot to overturn the will of the voters by pursuing a sham “audit” of Pennsylvania’s elections.

As your Attorney General, I went to court to stop Donald Trump and his extreme allies from throwing out legally cast votes — and we won again and again.

But today, the people who incited and participated in this attack are still working to take back power — and we can be certain that they’ll use every trick in the book to mislead voters and undermine faith in our democracy.

That means we have to fight with everything we’ve got to prevent these anti-democracy extremists from coming into power.

I’m working every day to build a Pennsylvania that works for everyone — but if we want to defeat anti-democracy extremism once and for all, we need to work together right now to stop them.
