My name is Aquilino Gonell, former U.S. Capitol Police Sergeant, and I fought to defend the Capitol on January 6, 2021, three years ago today.
Ruben Gallego is running for Senate in Arizona to defeat Kari Lake — one of the most dangerous election deniers in the country. Lies like the ones she spreads caused January 6th, and they could cause worse in the future.
We have to make sure that Ruben defeats Kari Lake in Arizona.
So if you can, I’m asking you to please support Ruben’s campaign with a donation today.
The people who attacked the Capitol that day attacked our democracy itself, and the Constitution that I swore an oath to protect when I joined the Army.
After what happened to me and my fellow officers on January 6th, it makes me sick that someone like Kari Lake can have a chance at serving in the Senate.
To this day, she does not accept the results of the 2020 election. She appears with insurrectionists, defends them, praises them as proud Americans.
To me, a proud American serves their country. A proud American upholds the values we all share. And a proud American should admit that January 6th was one of the darkest days in our country’s history.
That’s why I’m proud my friend Ruben is running against her.
He served in the Marines, he still serves in Congress. He’s fought for this country, he was ready to fight for it again on January 6th, and he’ll fight hard for the people of Arizona in the U.S. Senate.
We need more Ruben Gallegos leading this country — and way less Kari Lakes. So again, I’m humbly asking you:
Can you make a donation to Ruben’s Senate campaign today? Use this link to give whatever you can afford to make sure he defeats Kari Lake and stops her before she gets any more power and influence.
