Today marks three years since right-wing insurrectionists stormed our Capitol in an attempt to stop the peaceful transfer of power.

After months of President Trump undermining our democracy and spreading the lie that he won the 2020 election — a violent mob, incited by his hateful rhetoric, showed up at the Capitol to overturn the election by force.

Over the last three years, many right-wing members of Congress have continued to delegitimize and attack our democracy by promoting Trump’s Big Lie and blocking legislation that would ensure equal protection at the ballot box for every American.

That’s why I will give it my all to defend our democracy, but I can’t do it alone. As the election year begins, I need to know you're standing with me in this fight every step of the way.
