The Januaury 6th insurrection was, by all accounts, one of the darkest moments in our nation's history.  But just this week Donald Trump said that the insurrectionists were "hostages" and the insurrection was part of a plan by Antifa and the FBI.  This is INSANE and DANGEROUS.

I’m running for Congress because our nation needs to stand up and protect the basic tenets of democracy.  We can only do this if we work together and this next election is, truly, a fight for the soul of this nation. 

Democracy is based on some very basic principles, including:

1) the Rule of Law

2) an independent judiciary

3) a free press

4) a robust and knowledgeable civil society

Tump and his minions, including my oponent MAGA extremist David Schweikert, are attacking these very principles every single day.  

Democracy is not guaranteed. It is fought for every single day.
