John, exactly
three years ago today Donald Trump and other far-right Republicans helped
incite an insurrection in the U.S. Capitol.

We must be ABSOLUTELY clear: Donald Trump can never return to White House.
With two states already taking the extraordinary step to kick Trump off
the presidential ballot in 2024, we must all come together immediately and
ensure more states ban insurrectionists from running for office.

Three years after the January 6 attack on democracy, we must ensure Trump
is barred from the ballot under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the
U.S. Constitution.

In the U.S. Constitution, Section 3 of the 14th Amendment says officials
who’ve taken the oath of office and engaged in insurrection are barred
from holding office. When Trump tried to overturn the 2020 election
results and destroy our democracy, he broke his oath of office. Plain and
simple, he can’t be allowed to appear on the ballot as an insurrectionist.

BUT, there’s a lot of work left to do to ensure that states across the
country uphold the Constitution and kick Trump off the 2024 ballot. We
need as much action as possible before the start of the Republican
presidential primaries on January 15.

And the more states that bar Trump from the ballot NOW, the harder it will
be for the right-wing Supreme Court to save him.
