Armed extremism didn't start with the insurrection at the Capitol—and it doesn't end there, either.

John–

On January 6, 2021, a violent mob of armed, far-right extremists stormed and vandalized the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to overturn the results of the presidential election. Three years later, this day remains a dark stain on the fabric of our democracy.

But armed extremism didn't start with the insurrection at the Capitol. January 6th happened because of conspiracy theories and violent rhetoric circulated by extremists which were then validated and amplified by some of our own lawmakers—including former President Trump.

Three years later, as our country enters another contentious election cycle, these dangerous conditions remain, threatening our democracy. Which is why we need to know you're with us: Pledge to vote in the 2024 elections.

PLEDGE TO VOTE

And just after Colorado Supreme Court justices ruled that former President Trump is ineligible to appear on the state's Republican primary ballot, a man broke into the Colorado Supreme Court building and fired shots inside before surrendering to police.

Armed extremism is an imminent threat to our democracy—and it's not going away.

Every Western democracy has extremists. But in the United States, the extremists have easy access to guns.

We can't lose sight of what's at stake in this year's elections. Donald Trump tried to end our democracy three years ago and would end it if elected again. MAGA extremism has no place near the White House.

John, pledge now to vote in the 2024 elections.

Together, we can ensure that these right-wing extremists are defeated in November, and build on our gun safety progress in legislatures across the country. Our future depends on it.

Thank you for being a part of this movement,
