Dear  John xxxxxx,

Today we mark the somber anniversary of January 6th, a trying day for our democracy that will be forever etched in history. It is with a heavy heart that we reflect on the events that unfolded within the halls of our nation's Capitol.

This day serves as a reminder of the challenges we face as a nation in preserving the principles that define us.

On January 6th, 2021, we faced a grave threat that shook our nation to its core. I find myself reflecting as not only a member of Congress but as someone who experienced these events firsthand. Amid all the chaos, I vividly recall the overwhelming urgency as Capitol Police rushed my colleagues and me to safety in an effort to protect our democratic process. Yet, during the havoc, the dedication and sacrifice of Capitol Police was a testament to the resilience that unites us as a nation.

On this solemn occasion, let us remember the strength that we have gained from our shared commitment to the values of unity, resilience, and a firm belief in a better future. We reflect on not only the trials and tribulations but the hope that emerged during our darkest hours.

May this day serve as a reminder that despite differences, we are all bound by our allegiance to our great country. It is through this that we find hope and continue to work together to strengthen our community and our nation.
