Three years ago today, our democracy was threatened when an armed mob fueled by baseless claims of voter fraud stormed the U.S. Capitol.
Only a few hours after the attack that resulted in numerous loss of life, including the lives of law enforcement, 147 of my Republican colleagues in Congress voted to overturn the 2020 election results. January 6, 2021 serves as a somber reminder of the dangers of extremism and the delicate nature of our democracy.
Team, many of my Republican colleagues in Congress continue to push Trump's dangerous and baseless "Big Lie." As we look ahead to another consequential presidential election, we can't afford to downplay the insurrection and those who fueled it.
