John,

Today is the third anniversary of the deadly January 6 attack on the U.S.
Capitol. On this day in 2021, when Congress was scheduled to formally
acknowledge President Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election, a
violent mob of right-wing extremists — emboldened by Donald Trump —
stormed the Capitol, sending lawmakers into hiding.

It was a dark, dangerous day for our country as thousands of rioters (some
armed with weapons) mounted an insurrection in an attempt to overturn the
election results, claiming it was “stolen” from Trump. They vandalized the
Capitol and assaulted police officers, with some calling for Vice
President Mike Pence to be hanged.

After the Capitol was cleared and the mess cleaned up, members of Congress
reconvened to authorize the Electoral College votes. Despite everything
that had just happened, 147 Republican legislators chose party over
country and voted against certifying Biden’s election victory.

Since then, AIPAC has endorsed 109 of the 147 Republicans who supported
overturning the 2020 election.

AIPAC, the most powerful anti-Palestinian lobby group bankrolled by
Republican mega-donors and Trump voters, funds and supports
insurrectionists. Why?

Because at the end of the day, AIPAC is a single-issue outside group
willing to overlook our country’s well-being as long as their candidates
unconditionally support Israel and their war crimes — even if they pose a
dangerous threat to our democracy. They even admitted it in 2022 when they
said it is “no moment for the pro-Israel movement to become selective
about its friends."

While AIPAC backs election deniers and extremists, they’re also spending
millions in Democratic primaries trying to defeat progressive candidates,
even incumbents. They’re reportedly planning to spend $100 million to try
and unseat the Squad this year, and they already launched attack ads
against Rashida Tlaib, Jamaal Bowman, and Summer Lee. That’s why we need
your help, John.

[ [link removed] ]We can’t let AIPAC unseat our bloc of young, working-class, Black and
Brown progressives in Congress fighting for peace and the progress we
deserve. We defeated AIPAC in 2022, and we can do it again, but only if we
come together and act NOW. Make a grassroots contribution of
$3 or more today →

If AIPAC gets its way, there will be more right-wing extremists in
Congress sowing chaos here and abroad, and less progressives like Rashida,
Jamaal, and Summer standing up for democracy and human rights for all.

Thank you for being with us in this critical fight.

In solidarity,

Alexandra Rojas
