JOHN,

Today marks 3 years since one of the most horrific attacks on our nation’s democracy. But the struggle on January 6th didn’t end when the insurrectionists were cleared out of the Capitol. Protecting our democratic system remains the most important thing we can do because the solutions to our challenges all start with the basic right of the people to choose their own leaders without interference. In Congress, I have worked hard not only to make meaningful policy changes to help working Rhode Islanders – but also to protect our democracy.

I don’t want us to have to live in a country so divided by partisanship, threatened every day by in-fighting and attacks on our fundamental right to choose our own leaders. It’s up to us to protect our democracy and build a government we can all have faith in.
