Subject: Progress Update on the Presidential Caucus
Aloha,
I am writing to provide an update on the progress we've made regarding the upcoming Presidential Caucus. Your dedication and commitment to our party's values and processes have been instrumental in the strides we've made, and I am pleased to share these developments with you, and to inform you after speaking with members of the National Republican Party, our caucus is in good standing and cannot be cancelled. If there were issues or concerns, I would have been notified. There was unnecessary fear projected. We have to stop allowing fear and gaslighting cause doubt and division in our party. So, with that being said we have continued to move forward and keeping our focus on main goal….to have a successful statewide caucus so that we can elect a Presidential Candidate for the state of Hawaii, and ensure the delegates vote as required in Milwaukee.
1. Leadership and Oversight: Following the decision to have the County Chairs and State Executive team officers oversee the Caucus process, I am happy to report that we have moved forward effectively and efficiently. This transition has been seamless, thanks to the collaborative efforts and dedication of everyone involved.
2. Preparation and Planning: We have successfully created nearly all necessary forms required for the Caucus. This step ensures a smooth and organized process, reflecting our commitment to excellence and attention to detail. We are finalizing the voting process and tabulation forms, and should have training coming soon.
3. Engagement and Collaboration: We are in the process of meeting with the Presidential campaign leaders. This meeting is to align our strategies and ensure that all campaign perspectives are duly considered and integrated into our Caucus planning.
4. Venue Confirmation and Logistics: Nearly all locations for the Caucus have been confirmed and paid for. In an effort to optimize our resources and ensure effective volunteer coverage, we have consolidated a few locations. This decision was made with careful consideration to maintain the integrity and accessibility of the Caucus process. We took immediate efforts to confirm the locations a fix a few issues that we came across that may have impacted a couple locations and outcome.
5. Volunteer Coordination: The final list of Caucus sites will be posted on our website, www.thehawaiirepublicanparty.com, by January 10th, 2023, the latest January 11th.
PLEASE NOTE:
It is imperative for all volunteers, both new and those who signed up before the recent changes, to register or re-register. This can be done either through our website or directly through your respective county chairs. Please note, volunteers who do not sign up may not be assigned a position at the Caucus venues. Thomas Paine, in his series "The American Crisis," he wrote, "These are the times that try men's souls." This quote written during the early days of the American Revolution in 1776, was meant to inspire the colonists to continue their fight against British rule, even in the most challenging times. Paine's words were pivotal in rallying support for the Revolutionary cause and are still remembered for their stirring call to perseverance and courage.
