Hundreds of South Carolina Democrats are ready to run for office this November. We are thrilled to support Democratic and progressive voices up and down the ballot who will fight for the change our state desperately needs. WE NEED YOU. Too many Republican Senators are yet to be challenged.

After just three days of open candidate filing, 261 Democrats have filed to run for office. Interested in joining them? You still have time to represent the voices of those in your community and run for office in 2020 -- filing will remain open for the next 12 days.

So far, a total of 261 Democrats have filed to run for office in South Carolina.

— 173 Democrats filed to run for county office, clerk, school board, sheriff, corner, or auditor— 59 Democrats filed to run for State Representative
— 24 Democrats filed to run for State Senator
— 4 Democrats filed to run for U.S. House of Representative
— Jaime Harrison filed to run for U.S. Senate
