Hi John,

2024 is going to be a big one. Elections will take place across the
country; February 29 will happen for the first time in 4 years; Much of
the US will see a total solar eclipse; the Olympic flame will get lit in
Paris and much more. 

So what’s in store?

What will we be focusing on in the next twelve months? Here’s a sneak
peak:

* The right to good health - we firmly believe that where you live
shouldn’t determine whether you live. This is why we will be kicking
off a new campaign to ensure vital vaccines and immunizations get to
the people who need them most. We will be exploring how ONE can
support countries strengthening their own health systems, prevent
future pandemics and report on the health fallout caused by climate
events.
* Fighting climate change - we are backing a plan set out by African
Leaders that would lead to a shift to renewable energy across Africa,
and create millions of jobs. We’ll make sure governments keep their
promises to help low-income countries respond to the devastating
impacts of climate change. Promises that some have already started to
play fast and loose with - [ [link removed] ]see our new report.
* Fixing the world’s economic mess - the above is only possible if we
can fix the world’s financial system. Over the last few years we’ve
tried to show you just how broken it is: widening the gap between rich
and poor and punishing low-income countries for funding health
programs during COVID instead of paying debts. This year we will
continue to fight for reforms, at the World Bank and in the wider
economic system.

Who’s with us?

A bold agenda, right? Thankfully we are not alone. We are joined in these
fights by thousands of ONE supporters, like you, who together took more
than 500,000 actions last year (emails to Congress, tweets, petition
signatures and more); a network of trained activists who drive change in
their communities; a collection of partners sharing intel, amplifying work
and pooling resources; and a newly formed supergroup of climate activists
spread across Africa - dubbed the “Eco-champions” - [ [link removed] ]find out more about

What can you do?

The big question. And there are lots of great answers. Throughout the
year, we'll share more information on each of these campaigns alongside
plenty of impact-driving actions. But for now can we ask a big favor? And
hopefully a simple one. As the fight is so big we need as many people as
possible to join in, and your endorsement can go a long way.
