In the face of this new global crisis, now more than ever, the lacking access to affordable medication and medical care is glaring. Our friends and neighbors who rely on their medication to live are at their most vulnerable, and access to testing for any of us is few and far in between.

First things first: We need to do everything we can to come together and solve this crisis. Then, once we’re through it, we need leaders in Congress and across the country—both Republicans and Democrats—who will be healthcare champions.

In a crisis and out, the right to affordable and accessible healthcare needs to be a fundamental right for every person in this nation. To that end, I hope you’ll join me today in calling for the election of healthcare champions at every level of government.
