Tomorrow marks three years since we witnessed a harrowing attack on our democracy. We can’t allow the events of January 6, 2021 to ever occur again.

That’s why Senator Warner and his colleagues passed the bipartisan Electoral Count Reform Act – an imperative bill that enacts stronger protections for our democratic systems and secures our elections. A bill that holds politicians and insurrectionists that want to undermine the will of voters responsible. A bill that ensures a peaceful transition of power.

Restoring trust in our electoral system is no easy feat, but Mark knows that this bill is a good start. Because now, in a turbulent election year, we have legislation that can better protect our democracy.

But we can’t stop here.

The next step is to elect leaders to Congress who wholeheartedly believe that we should do more to safeguard our democracy – whether that’s advancing new protections for voting rights, increasing penalties for those who threaten election workers, or finding ways to help USPS handle election mail, there’s plenty to be done.
