This little girl had no idea that she’d become the second woman ever to serve as Governor and then as a United States Senator.

If you’d told her she’d have to take on debt to protect New Hampshire’s Democratic Senate seat against an election-denying MAGA Republican? She’d have been shocked.

But that IS what happened. Pundits moved our race to a toss-up, and I was getting calls from other Senators concerned that we couldn’t win.

To combat the onslaught of GOP money, my campaign made the choice to spend beyond our budget hoping that the money would come through later.

The good news is that we finally paid down our debt. The bad news is that New Hampshire is deep purple, and now we’re a FULL YEAR behind on raising for the next election. That’s a HUGE gap to fill.
