John,
The deadline to submit a comment to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) about digital wallets and payment apps like Venmo, PayPal or CashApp is this Monday, January 8. Comments from users of these apps would help the CFPB make new rules1 that protect their privacy when using them. Send a comment telling the CFPB to protect your financial privacy.
TAKE ACTION
We need better rules to ensure that digital payment apps pose less of a privacy and financial risk to users. They collect personal information about us such as our location data, pictures, contact information, passport or driver’s license information, other web activity and even fingerprint records that our phones use for security. This information can, and often is, shared with third parties without consent. That needs to change and this rulemaking process can help.
The CFPB needs to hear from you to make it clear that we need action to protect users of digital payment apps. Our tool makes sending a comment as easy as the click of a button. Submit a comment before the deadline to protect the financial privacy of you and your loved ones.
To standing up for our right to privacy,
Ese at ❤️Fight
