*This position is expected to last for two years.
The ideal incumbent must be someone who is customer centric and can represent BRD by delivering the best customer service to our partnering agencies and our purchasing customers. If you enjoy variety in your everyday work and have experience and knowledge of using an abundant of power tools/warehouse equipment (forklift, Pallet jack, jumper cables, hand tools (powered and unpowered), hand truck just to list a few) and you have experience providing exceptional customer service support, then this warehouse job is for you!
Loading of Surplus Property/Shipping Preparation
- Use powered and manual pallet jacks, forklift, hand truck or reach truck to loadout online auctions, online store front, or transferred assets for customers
- Jump start vehicles/heavy equipment to assist with yard loadouts
- Prepare all shipping items which must be packaged and ready for pick up within 24 hours of receiving the shipping paperwork from the cashiers
- All freight items should be ready for pick up and placed back in the designated freight area ready for pick up within two business days of receiving the Bill of Lading (BOL)
- Maintain a photo record of each prepared outgoing asset and store in shared drive file according to the individual asset number
- Ensures all outbound shipments are accurately identified matching up and completing the Bill of Lading (BOL) or other provided documents
- Work with priority and online personnel to ensure smooth removal of unsold assets to be recycled or transferred as needed
