John: We’re gearing up for one of the toughest election cycles in our nation’s history here in Arizona.

Across my home state, MAGA candidates like Kari Lake are running to tear our democracy apart, and we have to take this threat seriously.

In 2022, Kari Lake came within 17,000 votes of becoming Arizona’s next Governor after running a campaign that fully embraced MAGA lies, disinformation, conspiracies, election denial, and far-right policies.

Since that campaign, she’s dug even deeper into the dangerous rhetoric.

You name it, Kari Lake’s done it. Simply put, her candidacy is a danger to our democracy. But she’s not alone. More MAGA-right candidates — including Blake Masters, Abe Hamadeh, and the “Q-Anon Shaman” — are running for federal office in Arizona, too.

Arizona is the frontline of this fight, and we’re not going to shy away from it.

We’re working to make sure pro-democracy candidates win in Arizona and beat Kari Lake and the other MAGA-Republicans. But we can’t do it alone. So today, I’m asking:
