Dear Friend,
As families across the world are practicing social distancing in order to care for their neighbors and communities, we know that digital devices will be a consistent source of information, education, and entertainment for users of all ages.
While modern amenities such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones can be wonderful assets for our families, we know that they can also present unique and difficult challenges for parents as we try to keep our children safe online.
As we have already begun to see, predators have ([link removed]) been ([link removed]) quick ([link removed]) to attempt to capitalize on the COVID-19 crisis and their efforts won't diminish over time. We believe this is especially true for the digital and social media applications ([link removed]) our children use and which predators have already been using to aggressively prey upon children ([link removed]).
In light of that, we wanted to offer some helpful and hopeful ideas ([link removed]) for families on keeping children safe from online sexual exploitation. These tips are useful all the time, but are of particular importance when our children are likely to spend more time online.

Sexual exploitation doesn't stop during times of crisis. In fact, exploitative individuals and entities often ramp up their predatory practices during times of hardship as they target vulnerable individuals. Accordingly, we have no plans of slowing down our efforts to stem the tide of sexual exploitation in our culture and around the world.
In addition to putting together resources to help children and families stay safe from predators online, we are continuing to advocate for and help build a world free from sexual exploitation and we will need your help in the process.
If you are in the United States and you haven't done so already, would you take a few moments to complete the following easy-to-use Actions regarding important legislation being considered in Congress right now?

Regardless of where you live in the world, we also continue to need your help in making additional progress with members of the 2020 Dirty Dozen List. We have had several important and encouraging meetings based on the advocacy that has happened since our launch in early February, but your voice is still needed to force movement from these massive corporations on crucial matters of sexual abuse and exploitation.

We will be putting out more resources and ways for you take action from the comfort of your home over the course of the coming weeks and months. We can continue to take ground in the fight to end sexual exploitation and, with your help, we know we will.
Keeping children safe online during quarantine and how the movement to end exploitation can soldier on in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic.
