2023 might be over, but your support is still desperately needed.

2024 has brought more of the same for women, girls, and others living in Gaza: An unparalleled humanitarian crisis.

On January 2nd, a hospital was struck — with a five-day-old baby among the casualties.

In shelters for displaced people, 50% of pregnant women are suffering from thirst, malnutrition, and a lack of health care. 50% of displaced children are exposed to dehydration, malnutrition, respiratory and skin diseases, severe cold, and a lack of vaccinations.

5,300 wounded and sick people facing serious and complex medical conditions are in urgent need of evacuation.

2023 might be over, but your support is still desperately needed in Gaza and in crisis zones around the world — where the needs of women and girls especially go unnoticed.

Please, make an emergency gift to deliver lifesaving care to the women and girls who need it most.

MAKE AN EMERGENCY GIFT

UNFPA has been instrumental in getting aid into Gaza.

Your gifts have distributed reproductive health kits to seven hospitals — including clean delivery kits, medicine, medical devices, and equipment for emergency obstetric care.

They’ve also provided midwifery kits for 50 midwives to assist with safe births, 7,500 Dignity Kits and counting, and direct aid to 2,125 vulnerable women.

The hard truth remains that the aid entering Gaza is only a fraction of what’s needed in order to meet the humanitarian needs of the hundreds of thousands of people facing unthinkable circumstances. That’s why we’re appealing to you today:

Will you make an emergency gift that delivers lifesaving care and basic essentials to women and girls in crisis zones across the globe?

MAKE AN EMERGENCY GIFT

UNFPA deeply regrets the end of the humanitarian pause in Gaza. We condemn the violence in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank, including all sexual violence against women, and echo the UN Secretary-General’s call for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire and for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas.

Thank you for not looking away.
