John,
My friend and colleague Congresswoman Summer Lee and I are set to face major challenges this year, and we need your support now more than ever.
AIPAC, funded by massive Republican megadonors, is set to spend $100 million this year against campaigns like ours. This is an all-hands-on-deck moment. Summer and I need to start the year strong to hold back this onslaught.
Let’s be clear about what is happening here. AIPAC, which endorsed over 100 Republican members of Congress who defended the January 6 insurrection, routinely targets Black and Brown members of Congress with primary challenges. So, it is no surprise that Summer and I are on their target list this year.
But we won’t back down. Summer and I are unafraid to stand for justice, humanity, and peace in Washington — and our opposition is scared. Simply put: we are being targeted because we are effective in changing the status quo.
John, it's imperative that we work together to fight back against the $100 million dollar smear campaign they’re planning against our movement — and the way we start this year will determine the scope and scale of our plans to fight back. Can we count on you to split a contribution of any amount between our campaigns today?
Summer and I have chosen to prioritize people over corporate interests. And our commitment to equal rights, freedoms, and peace has made some powerful people very uncomfortable.
The same Republican billionaires who bribed Supreme Court justices are now threatening our campaigns and the movement we’ve worked so hard to sustain. Now more than ever, we need a swell of support from the grassroots to fight back against this no-holds-barred conservative attack.
Let's finish this year with a strong message: We stand together, unwavering in our pursuit of a just and equitable society. Please consider splitting a contribution of any amount between our two campaigns today and help us protect our progress in 2024 and beyond.
Your support means everything to us, and together, we can and we will overcome the odds.
In solidarity,
Pramila Jayapal
